How pricing works

Every fee we charge is capped by law.

CASH ZA is priced under the National Credit Act. That sets a ceiling on each component — we cannot exceed it, and we do not add anything outside it.

  • The initiation fee

A once-off fee for setting up the agreement, calculated from the amount you borrow and capped by regulation.

  • The interest

Charged monthly at a rate capped for short-term credit. Borrow from us again and a lower rate applies.

  • The monthly service fee

A fixed monthly administration fee, also capped.

  • Nothing else

No arrangement fees, no early settlement penalty, no charge for talking to us.

Choosing an amount

Borrow the smallest amount that solves the problem.

A larger loan costs more in every component. The right amount is the one that fixes what went wrong, not the maximum you might qualify for.

Before you choose

  • Work out the actual shortfallThe exact rand amount you are short, not a round number.
  • Check the instalment against your monthIt has to survive a month where something else also goes wrong.
  • Count what you already repayExisting debit orders come off the same salary.

When a loan is the wrong answer

  • To repay another loanMoving debt around usually costs more than it solves.
  • For an ongoing shortfallShort-term credit does not fix a monthly gap. It widens it.
  • Because someone pressured youIf anyone is rushing you, that is a reason to stop.

Ready when you are

Start with an estimate — no pressure.

See what a loan could cost you, then continue only if the numbers work for your budget.
